Accessible bathrooms & wet rooms

Getting in and out of the bath shouldn't be the hardest part of your day.

A bathroom that works for you should never feel clinical. We design and build level-access showers, wet rooms and adapted bathrooms that are safe, easy to use and genuinely lovely to be in.

We start with how you use the room today and how you might need to use it in the years ahead, then plan everything from floor gradients and drainage to the height of the basin and where the grab rails go.

Whether you're planning ahead, recovering from an operation, or helping a parent stay independent, we'll listen first, then design a bathroom that fits your life rather than a catalogue.

  • Full wet-room conversions with tanking

Level-access floor

No step or tray lip to catch a foot. The floor falls gently to a drain, so water goes where it should.

Three ways to do it

The right bathroom for you.

  • Walk-in shower with a low tray, glass panels and grab rails1

    Walk-in shower

A low-profile or flush tray with a fixed glass panel. The simplest change, and often the one that makes the biggest difference.

Good for: stepping out of the bath for good

  • Open, level-access shower area with a grab rail beside the basin2

    Full wet room

The whole floor is fully waterproofed and falls gently to a drain. No edges at all, with room for a seat, a carer or a wheelchair.

Good for: wheelchair users and assisted showering

  • A tired bathroom replaced with a walk-in shower and support rail3

    Bath-to-shower swap

We take the bath out and put a safe, level shower in the same space, often in around two weeks, usually without moving the drainage far.

Good for: a fast, cost-effective change

Help with the cost

You may pay less than you think.

Adaptation work can qualify for VAT relief and council funding. We’ll explain what might apply to you, simply and without obligation.

  • VAT relief on adaptations

Some building work to adapt a home for a disabled person can be zero-rated for VAT, and certain mobility aids fitted for people aged 60 or over can be charged at the reduced 5% rate. We'll tell you if your work may qualify and help with the declaration.

  • Disabled Facilities Grants

Your local council may help fund adaptations such as level-access showers, ramps and stairlifts through a means-tested Disabled Facilities Grant. We're happy to provide quotes to support your application.

  • Working with your OT

If an Occupational Therapist has assessed your needs, we'll build to their recommendations and keep them informed as the work goes on.

VAT reliefs and grants depend on individual circumstances and the rules set by HMRC and your local council. We’ll point you in the right direction, but we can’t guarantee eligibility.

Good to know

Accessible bathroom questions.

  • A walk-in shower uses a very low tray with a glass screen. In a wet room the whole floor is tanked (waterproofed) and slopes to a drain, so there's no tray at all. We'll recommend whichever suits the room, the budget and the person using it.

Free home visit

Let’s plan your new bathroom.

Tell us a little about what you have in mind. We’ll get back to you, usually within one working day, to arrange a free, no-obligation visit.
